Independent practice

Zara-style practice questions that train the right skill without pretending to be leaked questions.

Micro1 says interviews are role-specific and can include open-ended technical and scenario questions. These prompts are independent drills built around those published categories.

The short answer

Practice question types, not alleged secret questions.

A useful bank includes technical explanation, judgment scenarios, evidence defence, trade-offs, failure analysis, and role-specific transfer. The goal is to reveal weak reasoning before the real interview.

General AI-interview practice prompts

  1. Describe a decision you made with incomplete information. What evidence did you rely on, what risk remained, and what would have caused you to change course?
  2. Tell me about a result on your résumé that sounds impressive. What did you personally do, how was the result measured, and what limitation should I know about?
  3. A teammate strongly disagrees with your approach and the deadline is close. How do you decide whether to change direction, escalate, or proceed?
  4. Explain a technical concept from your field to a knowledgeable colleague. What is it, when is it useful, and where can it fail?
  5. Describe a time quality and speed were in conflict. What did you protect, what did you compromise, and how did you monitor the consequence?
  6. What is a professional mistake or weak assumption you discovered in your own work? How did you detect it and what changed afterward?

These questions are not represented as Micro1’s exact interview questions. They are designed to force the same kinds of explanation, scenario judgment, and evidence defence that Micro1 publicly says its interviews may evaluate.

Add role-specific depth

Finance / audit

“A reconciliation is technically complete, but one recurring exception has no clear owner. What do you do next, and what evidence would you need before closing the issue?”

AI training / annotation

“Two annotators apply the same guideline differently to an ambiguous case. How would you decide whether the issue is individual error, unclear guidance, or acceptable disagreement?”

QA

“A release has a serious defect that appears difficult to reproduce. How would you gather evidence, prioritize the risk, and decide whether to block deployment?”

Project management

“A critical dependency slips and the committed deadline is now unrealistic. How do you re-scope the work and communicate the risk without hiding uncertainty?”

For any role, the practice question should force the candidate to use actual domain knowledge. Generic communication alone should not be enough.

How to use a practice bank effectively

Answer without notes first. Then identify the missing layer: direct decision, evidence, reasoning, trade-off, technical accuracy, or next step. Review only the information needed to fix that weakness and answer again. On the third attempt, change the prompt while keeping the competency stable.

This prevents the common failure mode where performance improves only because the candidate memorized one question. Real preparation should transfer to a new wording and a new scenario.

Sources and limits

This guide is independent preparation. Interview Command is not affiliated with or endorsed by Micro1. Micro1 states that Zara interviews are conversational, role-specific, and can include open-ended technical questions, scenario questions, coding challenges for technical roles, and human-data exercises for annotator roles. Micro1 also states that interviews vary by candidate and role, so no independent prep product can promise the exact questions you will receive.
